Applying for Use of the Open Xtreemos Test Bed and Requirements

The XtreemOS partners are pleased to provide access to their open testbed for developers and users willing to try XtreemOS. It's a distributed testbed spread across several participating institutions. As it is a shared resource we have created user guidelines for all users and please read them fully to ensure your participation will not cause problems for others.

Access is only via public ssh key. No password logins are allowed. Here is a quick example of generation:

What we are asking you to provide is the file.

To request access, send a mail to with a preferably gpg signed ssh key generated from the workstation you will be accessing the testbed from. In addition, please state your full name and affiliated organization, along with a brief description of your usage plans for the test bed. An approval e-mail will be sent to you with further login info and your account name.

Once your account is created, you will be subscribed to the testbed mailing list, which is low-volume, but will provide you will timely information and notices of outages, ongoing maintenance or other important information. As the conclusion of your experimenting, please provide a short description of your results here.
